Goddess Tours To Malta offers a well-rounded travel experience exploring the rich and varied culture and history of the Maltese Islands. Special emphasis is given to Malta's Neolithic archaeology and megalithic temples, the world's oldest free-standing architecture.

Enjoy unrushed visits to the temples of Ggantija, Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, Tarxien, and the spell-binding, world-famous Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, where the 'Sleeping Goddess' was found. We also visit archaeological sites which require special permission to access, and have quality time at these sacred sites to plumb our preferred creative directions - sketching or painting, journaling or poetry, photography, or simply quiet reflection. Visits to the temples and Archaeology Museums of Malta and Gozo help us to feel and understand the links between the ancient matrifocal heritage of this Neolithic society and modern-day feminine spirituality.
Malta and Gozo have been sacred islands since earliest prehistory. There are more than thirty ancient temple sites on the Maltese Islands in an area approximately 122 square miles (316 square kilometers) which is a far greater architectural density for this period than exists in any comparable location on Earth. These islands still retain their sacred energy, audibly attested to by the frequent and vigorous ringing of church bells (especially in Gozo), and visibly attested to by the number of churches on the islands. There is reputed to be more than 365 churches...and the number is always growing! The secular and spiritual energies join forces during the spring and summer months in the village festas, celebrated with fireworks and festivities, processions and prayers. We attend festas, experience the local traditions, and enter into the spirit of the moment.
Explore the abundant folklore of caves and miraculous springs, handcrafts (most notably the beautiful handmade bobbin lace of Gozo, weaving, and the delicate bead work of ganutil), visits to local artists' studios, and the indiginous folk music of Malta (Ghana) - and by the conclusion of your time in Malta, you will feel the magic and mystery of having returned to the lap of the ancient Earth Mother.

Your itinerary is designed to make the most of your visit to Malta, experiencing past and present, sacred and secular...providing a balance between efficient use of time (without being rushed or superficial) and time to relax and absorb the sights and sounds of Malta's rich culture.

Goddess Tours To Malta caters to independent travelers, and small private groups. Arrange a custom tour for yourself, family, friends, or special interest group to travel at the time of year you prefer. No two itineraries are ever identical, as we enjoy helping you explore your own special interests.

We provide the ideal travel experience for those who love the stimulation of the unusual and thought provoking ...the perfect trip for those who 'don't like tours'!

In memory of my dear friend of many years, Jean Busuttil Zaleski who died on 2 May 2010 after a long lifetime of creating beautiful paintings and art work, as well as disseminating a broad brush stroke of kindness, laughter and joy wherever she went. Now you are among the Ancestors of your beloved temples of Malta, with whom you were always so closely in tune.
